Let us introduce you to Zidane. Being arguably one of the best geldings we have offered to the public, this gorgeous guy is a true heart horse. ‘Zidane’ as we call him has a personality the size of a planet and the biggest heart to match. His flashy looks are just a bonus!
It’s hard not to fall in love with this big-hearted, flashy gelding. Right away, Zidane’s huge dog-like personality won us over. He truly loves everyone… and I mean everyone. It doesn’t matter what time of day, or if he’s in a dead sleep, once he hears you coming he lets out a big nicker to greet you. It didn’t take long for him to show us his ‘silly’ side and he has been making us laugh ever since. He sticks his tongue out on command when you push on his nose! This sweet guy can convince just about anyone to stop and pet him. He actually knows his name and will respond to you! If he doesn’t flag you down with his nickers, his looks sure will. Zidane is a Palomino on his papers, but as he has gotten older he darkened into a gorgeous Dunalino. He has a dark dorsal stripe, tiger stripes on his legs and withers, and a bright mane and tail to top it off!
Trained to go at whatever pace you would like, he can step it up or cruise around nice and slow. Zidane is a push-style horse, but not dull, and is very responsive to every cue. He has super smooth gaits that are easy to sit and enjoy. His transitions are simple and his turnarounds can be slowed down or sped up, as shown in his sale video. He will cross water, step over a tarp, drag whatever you would like, carry a flag, step over logs, and the list goes on. Zidane is as good-minded as they get! He has the mind to make an excellent kid’s horse, but the ability to step up and show at whatever level you would like. His pretty extended trot would make him a great ranch rider as well. This guy can take you right to the winner’s circle, or down the trail – wherever you point him, he’s happy to go! He is a confident, calm gelding and is happy to go trail riding alone or with other horses. Zidane will also pick you up off the mounting block as shown in his video.
He has absolutely no vices, bad habits, or tricks to mention! No need for front shoes, Zidane is barefoot in the front and has sliders on his back feet. As you can see, he is a shapey guy. He is a very easy keeper and has no special requirements for feed. Zidane is easy to catch and if he sees you coming, will beat you to the gate and greet you with a nicker. He is extremely respectful on the ground and stands still for the farrier and to be saddled. He will stand to be bathed, clipped, loads like a dream, and is willing to be a participant in whatever activity you like!
He is a once-in-a-lifetime type of gelding and we have never met another like him! Zidane knows how to be loved and how to love you back.
